Last month, Xiaomi launched two new smartphones in its ultra-popular Redmi Note series. With this launch, they added the “Pro Max” moniker to the series, which tags the biggest and best phone in the lineup. XDA TV‘s Sandeep Sarma has the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in hand and he shared his first impressions of the device.
There are several key differences between the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and the regular Note 9 Pro (review). As Sandeep says, the Max is basically the Note 9 Pro on steroids. It has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, but it also has 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.1 storage, 33W fast charging, and a larger 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor.
Check out Sandeep’s video below to see camera samples and his first impressions of the device as a whole. The Redmi Note series is very popular for its price-for-value ratio, and the Pro Max offers a new tier to the series.
