OnePlus rolls out the August 2020 security update for the OnePlus 8 series

The August 2020 Android Security Patch update rolled out for Google Pixel phones and several Samsung phones last week. Now, OnePlus is now rolling out the August 2020 security update for the OnePlus 8 series. We’ve provided all the necessary links below for easy access.

The previous update that brought the July 2020 Android Security Patch level added several features including OnePlus Buds support, more clock styles, and more. However, the update that’s rolling out now doesn’t add much apart from the latest security patches. In the changelog, OnePlus highlights a few fixes and features, including an optimized shooting effect with the front camera. The company also fixed an overlapping character display issue with Ambient display.

OnePlus has been busy these past several weeks. In addition to the release of the OnePlus Nord, the company has worked to release OxygenOS 11, which will introduce new features like an always-on display, one-handed mode, and a new UI that places an emphasis on one-handed ease-of-use.
