Microsoft has begun selling the Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3 in India. Announced earlier this year, the Surface Go 2 is a refresh for the company’s smallest Surface tablet, while the Surface Book 3 is Microsoft’s most powerful convertible notebook. Notably, Microsoft had also announced the Surface Headphones 2 and the Surface Earbuds during the official unveiling in May. However, it seems that these accessories will not be available in India as of yet. Pricing for the new Surface Go 2 starts at ₹42,999 and ₹1,56,299 for the Surface Book 3. Microsoft also mentions in its press note that while the Surface Go 2 will be available to all consumers, the Surface Book 3 is only being offered to commercial customers in India. This sounds odd as the Surface Book series was never solely marketed at commercial users.
Surface Go 2
The Surface Go 2 features a similar design as its predecessor, the Surface Go, but with slimmer bezels. It is Microsoft’s smallest Surface offering with a display measuring 10.5-inch with a full-HD (1920×1280) resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The notebook can be configured with an Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y processor or the 8th-gen Intel Core m3 processor with either 4GB RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage or 8GB RAM with a 128GB SSD. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 1TB. It is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of battery life and up to 64% improvement in performance on the top variant. The rest of the features include a USB Type-C port, Surface connector, a headphone jack, dual studio microphones, and a 5-megapixel webcam. The Surface Go 2 also supports its own Surface Type Cover, although there is no word on the official pricing in India. However, we can spot a listing on Amazon India for ₹9,999 for the Surface Type Cover for the Surface Go 2.

Surface Book 3
The Surface Book 3 also offers a detachable 2-in-1 form factor and is available in two size variants- 13.5-inch and 15-inch. Made for creative professionals and developers, the notebook is powered by the 10th-gen Intel Core mobile processors along with the option of discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX or Quadro RTX graphics. The Surface Book 3 is claimed to offer 50-percent improved performance over its predecessor, the Surface Book 2. Both the 13.5-inch and 15-inch variants feature two USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A ports, a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port, two Surface Connect ports, an SDXC card slot, a 5-megapixel front camera, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and far-field stereo microphones.
