After rolling out the ColorOS 7 flavored Android 10 update for the OPPO R15 earlier this month, OPPO is now doing the same for two more phones: the OPPO F15 and the OPPO A91. Don’t let the naming convention confuse you, though, as this is yet another example of OPPO’s rebranding strategy. The company initially launched the OPPO A91 in China back in December 2019, and decided to release the exact same phone in India as the OPPO F15 a month later. To make things further complicated, there exists a global variant of the OPPO A91 as well. The non-Chinese models share a common firmware, thus the new ColorOS 7/Android build is compatible with both these phones.
ColorOS 7 brings in all the new features that Google rolled out with Android 10, such as the system-wide dark mode, and full-screen gestures. OPPO thoroughly revised their custom skin while integrating it on top of Android 10, thus the owners of the phone duo can now enjoy a much cleaner UI, redesigned iconography, optimized Game Space, and much more. The current stable Android 10 build for the OPPO F15/A91 is tagged as CPH2001PUEX_11.C.11, and it is now available for download in India and several other Asian countries.
